James River Theatre Company is proud to present William Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing in partnership with the Lynchburg Museum System! Join us for an evening of laughs and Christmas joy as we follow the independent suffragette Beatrice and her match for wits, the irritatingly smug and self-proclaimed forever-bachelor, Captain Benedick. A ruined wedding, an over-zealous neighborhood constable, and two couples facing the brave new world after the Great War will leave you laughing and will get you in the holiday spirit. Guests can also enjoy the ground level of the "We the Women" exhibit put on by the Lynchburg Museum System in honor of the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment to the U. S. Constitution before the play, during intermission, and after while waiting to stage door.
We are so excited to bring you Shakespeare's classic comedy as our inaugural show- we hope you enjoy watching and laughing with us as much as we did preparing and rehearsing for you!
